The Harvard Business School African-American Alumni Association (HBSAAA) serves over 1,700 African-American, African, and other black graduates of HBS who identify with an African-American heritage. It is dedicated to building and sustaining a beneficial network that connects alumni, current students, and applicants with HBS to increase our influence at the School and in the broader African-American Community.

Richard America Featured in March 2008 Issue of HBS Bulletin
The career of distinguished alumnus Richard America (MBA '63), author, economic policy analyst and professor of business administration, is featured in an article entitled An American Odyssey published in the March 2008 issue of the HBS Bulletin.
HBSAAA and AASU Honor Peter Bynoe and Dennis Hightower with 2008 Professional Achievement and Bert King Alumni Awards
Each year, the Harvard Business School African-American Alumni Association (HBSAAA), African-American Student Union (AASU), and Bert King Foundation join together to honor HBS alumni for their achievements, leadership, and personal integrity. The awards are given to individuals who have made a significant, sustainable impact in their respective fields thus inspiring others to strive for professional excellence. The organizations also honor achievements that purposefully benefit the community in the political and community development arenas, as well as personal commitment to being of service to others. This year's Professional Achievement award goes to Peter Bynoe (MBA '75/JD '76) while the Bert King Community Service award recipient is Dennis Hightower (MBA '74).

HBSAAA Alumni and AASU Pay Tribute to Lillian Lincoln (HBS '69) with Trip to South Africa
An historic woman is honored by an historic company. Lillian Lincoln Lambert (HBS '69), the first African American woman to graduate from the Harvard Business School, was gifted with a complementary trip to the 2007 Soweto Wine & Brandy Festival in South Africa this fall by Heritage Link Brands, LLC, the first company to import and distribute black-produced African wines. The company's owners, Selena Cuffe (HBS '03) and Khary Cuffe (HBS '07), paid tribute to Lambert for her trailblazing accomplishments, including her role as a founding member of AASU, at the 35th Annual H. Naylor Fitzhugh Conference.
