Event Details:
You are cordially invited to join HBSAAA Alumni and special guests to watch history unfold as Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. HBSAAA is hosting an Inaugural Celebration at a premier hotel in Washington, DC: The Mandarin Oriental. This luxury hotel is ideally located on the waterfront and within walking distance to many of the Inaugural festivities. The reception is optimally timed from 10:00am – 1:00pm to allow for indoor viewing of the Inauguration Ceremonies on large viewing screens. Registration will begin at 9:30am. The official Inaugural Ceremonies start at 10:00am. Brunch will be provided during the event.
Ticket Availability and Pricing:
Early Bird Rates (through 1/14/09*)
HBSAAA Member Tickets - $150 per person
Available to HBSAAA financial members, to purchase for themselves and up to 5 guests
(Guests can be HBS alumni only by special permission)
HBSAASU Student Tickets - $150 per person
Available to Afro-American Students Union members, to purchase for themselves and up to 2 guests
(Guests can be HBS alumni only by special permission)
Non-Member Tickets - $200 per person
Available to HBSAAA non-financial alumni, affinity members of the organizations listed below, and approved additional ticket buyers, to purchase for themselves and up to 5 guests: The HBS Latino Alumni Association, the HBS Club of Washington, DC, the Harvard Black Alumni Society and the Chicago Booth Black Alumni Association
Tickets are not required for children under 6 years old.
*After 1/14/2009 any remaining tickets will be priced at $250 per person for both members and non-members.

Please note:
A ticket must be purchased for each guest, except children under 6 years old. Tickets are available for advance purchase only. There will be no ticket sales at the door. Requests for ticket purchasers to designate a guest to come in their place will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We have seen unprecedented demand for this event and we recommend purchasing tickets for you and your family/guests as soon as possible. Due to heightened security on Inauguration Day, identification is required for entry. All ticket sales are final as of 1/14/09.
